• Hello. It seems there is a bug in WordPress. When i set the Number of items per page in Screen Options to more than the number of published posts (for example: there is only 1000 posts and we set to 200), WordPress show us a blank page.

WordPress must be smart and change the number to the number of published posts ??

Excuse me for my bad English.

A blank page means that PHP is crashing. This could be due to a function conflict introduced by a plugin or theme, or by WordPress hitting PHP’s memory allocation.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

If neither of those make a difference, here are three ways to increase PHP’s memory allocation:

    1. If you can edit or override the system php.ini file, increase the memory limit. For example, memory_limit = 128M

    2. If you cannot edit or override the system php.ini file, add php_value memory_limit 128M to your .htaccess file.

    3. If neither of these work, it’s time to ask your hosting provider to temporarily increase PHP’s memory allocation on your account. Keep in mind that most decent hosting providers allocate 64 MB to PHP under each account, and most decent hosting providers allow users to temporarily increase the memory allocation. If your hosting provider won’t accommodate you, perhaps it’s time to find a new hosting provider.

(in the above examples, the limit is set to 128MB)

    Not worked!

If absolutely none of that worked, we may be able to help, but we’ll need a more detailed error message. The cause of a PHP crash is usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again (trigger the blank page), note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for any errors that occurred during that specific time period. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.

Mr Huff, the problem is that i mentioned in my fist post.

    this worked for me:

    SELECT * FROM user_meta WHERE meta_key LIKE 'edit_per_page'

I published a post about this problem, here.

I understand that you detailed what the problem is, but like I said, we’ll need the specific error log entry from your server’s error log to help you further.

I say this because I cannot duplicate your problem on any of my sites, sorry I suppose I should have mentioned that earlier.
