We are using woocommerce in conjunction with Themify
    https://www.moorhousefarmshop.co.uk/click-collect-2/

We have a problem in that we keep getting an unwanted text module in our ‘order received’ / ‘thank you’ page and in our customer notification email once an order has been placed. This unwanted text module was added before woocommerce was updated and end points were brought in to replace custom pages and shortcodes. But now I have no idea how to remove this unwanted text and where the php code is sourcing it from. I can add text to the thankyou.php page but am unable to delete this unwanted text that was previously added as I cant find it anywhere in the backend of the site.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. we are currently using an order received customizer plugin but the unwanted text appears whether we are using this plugin or not.

    many thanks

WooCommerce itself has no such modules – thanks page is literally just an endpoint on the checkout page.

One of your plugins, or some custom code in your theme will be responsible.

I understand that WooCommerce has no such modules and did not create the text module in the first instance – we were allowed to add the custom text module to the order received page and email notifications by WooCommerce when it was customizable before the update to end points…but now we cant edit or delete this text. I was just after a bit of advice on how that may be possible as I’ve spent a long time searching through the backend files and can find no trace of where this unwanted text module is coming from.

Can you screenshot what you’re seeing? Do you still have a ‘thanks’ page somewhere in the pages section?

Here’s the screen shot and highlighted text that we are trying to get rid of:

This text appears with the order details both when we are using the order received customizer plugin and when an order is placed without using the plugin when the thankyou.php is used and the automated order received paged/end point is being displayed. This text also appears in the customer’s order notification email.

So, at some point last year (unfortunately it wasnt me, it was a colleague no longer with us) we were able to add this text quite easily i believe within the woocommerce settings but since woocommerce was updated we’ve lost the ability to edit/remove this text from the order received page/email notification. And as i mentioned previously i have searched the backend files to try and find where this text is being generated from but with no luck.

any help/guidance you could provide would be much appreciated. We understand that it was us that added the text in the first instance but would never have done so if we’d known that we wouldn’t be able to edit/remove it in the future.

    thanks

Ah I wonder if that is in your gateway settings. WC > Settings > Checkout > BACS or whatever method you’re using.

Ah! Of course! How stupid of me – i didnt even realise that option was there. I must have looked everywhere else apart from on that bit.

    thank you.
