Problem with permalinks pagination

  • My website is using the following permalink structure:

    https://website.com/%category%/%postname%/

    When I try to load the 2nd page I get the error message “nothing found”.

    https://website.com/blog/page/2/

    If I remove /%postname%/ from the permalink structure the pagination links work. However individual posts do not. If I remove /%category%/ from the permalink then the individual posts work but the pagination doesn’t.

    How can I fix this?
