Problem with photo upload

  • I’m trying to upload a photo to my wordpress site

    And I keep getting this error (WordPress won’t let me upload):

    “file type didn’t meet security guidelines.”

    could it be the internet connection i’m using. Any assistance would be great,

  • And the details of the file would be? I’m afraid you didn’t give us anyting to go on, not even thte internet connection that you think may be the cause. ??

    filename and filesize in bytes would help.

    It’s just a regular jpg photo. As for the internet connection, I’m not 100% sure as I’m just asking this question on behalf of a friend who’s the one who’s actually having trouble. But I believe it’s a wi-fi connection, most likely in a hotel.

    I am having problems uploading any files to my NEW NEW BLOG. I keep getting this error.

    The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/whimsica/public_html/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/02.

    Im so confused and relativelyh new to blog land. So frustrated that I am about ready to give up here. I canot even get the themes I downloaded and uploaded to my server to work. Please help. Help files are confusing to me.
