    Hello

    I had a gallery that i wanted to rename. When I did the rename, i found 2 galleries visiting my site as a user: there were both, the one with the old name and one with the new name, obviously both with the same pics.

    Then I deleted both. But visiting the site they are still there, they can be selected by the users, but now they are empty without any pics.

    I think they should totally disappear.

    I have another question: if I delete a gallery, the images of the gallery are deleted too? or they remain on the hosting?

    @icon33,

    This can be due to caching. If you press CTRL+F5 the gallery should also be removed having a message that there are not images in a gallery. This message will only be removed if you manually remove the shortcode of the gallery. And this is true for all WP plugins, not only ours, the shortcode cannot be automatically removed.

    The images will remain there, unless you remove them from the upload pop-up. Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Ok for the images that are still there when deleting a gallery: they must be deleted from the pop up. Understood.

    The first problem remains, even changing browser, even after the cache was empty. I am not speaking about shortcodes.

    I try to re-describe the issue.

    I have a PAGE, where in the sidebar there is the widget with ad album. That album contains 2 galleries. One gallery was renamed. When clicking on it in the widget, it opens the gallery in a new page. At the bottom of the gallery there are 2 links: on the right to another gallery, and on the left in another gallery. The left-link points to the gallery that was renamed. As if now there are 2 galleries (that are the same one!) with different names.

    Trying to understand the issue, I decided to completely delete one of the 2 galleris of the album. Now, correctly, in the widget there is just one gallery because the other one was deleted. If I click on that only-one gallery remained, it opens the new page with all the images. But… in the link at the bootom of the page, there is again the name of the gallery that was deleted. If I click there, there is the page with the title of the gallery (that was deleted!) but says that simply the gallery is empty. And at the bottom of this page, there is also the link to the gallery that was renamed.

    It seems that when you rename the gallery, it creates a new one with the new name, while the old-named gallery becomes empty but still remains. And the same if I delete one gallery: it becomes empty but still remains.

    Hope you understand the issue from my words. Can you help me?

    @ico33,

    Just remove the widget and recreate it. This should resolve the issue.

    Just done, but does not work.

    I deleted the widget, but this does not change anything.

    If I go to a gallery that exists, for example https://mysite.com/bwg_gallery/existing_gallery

    in that page I see the picture, and that’s ok

    At the bottom of that page I have 2 links (Links are for example!)

    left: https://mysite.com/bwg_gallery/an_existing_gallery_with_old_name (was renamed)
    right: https://mysite.com/bwg_gallery/a-non-existing_gallery_that_was_deleted

    If i click on this last, it goes into the page as If the gallery exists (but does not!!) and says “gallery is empty”.

    Did some test: on a new site, with different themes: the problem remains.

    Created an album with 3 galleries. Deleted then 1 of 3, the one named mydomain.com/bwg_gallery/tre/. The other 2 works correctly, but when visiting one, ad the bottom of the page there is the link to the gallery deleted. Now, when going to mydomain.com/bwg_gallery/tre/, it simply says that the gallery is empty, not that it doesn’t exist anymore
