    Hello @winterstreet.

In your SpamFireWall logs, we found blocked requests from devices that have a MailChimp user agent specified. You can find them all and add them to the whitelists. But this may be a temporary solution.

I want to note that, firstly, these IPs do not match those stated on the MailChimp site. Secondly, we could detect MailChimp requests automatically and not block them, but we need MailChimp DNS to correspond to each IP address used.

I see a list of IP addresses in the SPam Firewall that were blocked. I’ll add those to the personal list, but looking at the entries that already in the personal list (I think for Mailchimp) they all end with /32. Do I need to add that?

    Hello,

SpamFireWall works with IP networks. /32 means that the network has 1 IP only. To whitelist an IP please add it with a /32 mask.

Thanks, I added the additional IP addresses. Afterwards when I tried to save the Mailchimp campaign it gave me the same error related to the feed. But I don’t see anything with “mailchimp” in the spam firewall for today. After that it worked when I saved again. So I don’t know if it’s fixed or not. My test email made it through, which uses the feed, but we’ll see what happens when the live email gets triggered next Tuesday.

    Thank you. Keep us posted.

In the meantime, we’ll think about what we can do from our side.

    Hello @winterstreet,

    Thank you for waiting.

We’ve added several IP addresses from mailchimp to our global whitelist. If you see that mailchimp is blocked again, you will need to add their IP addresses to your personal whitelist. Since we cannot reliably determine the IP addresses of mailchimp because they only use a User Agent and do not use a DNS name.

I checked with the people who’s Mailchimp account this is, and it seems to be working fine. If it gets blocked again I’ll check what the IP’s are then.

    Thanks for you assistance.

They are having trouble again. It was mentioned:

Since we cannot reliably determine the IP addresses of mailchimp because they only use a User Agent and do not use a DNS name.

So how do get the IP addresses? Also, they’re getting a little frustrated, do you think these IPs might just change again anyway?

    Hello @winterstreet,

I checked your SpamFireWall logs and found only one blocked IP of Mailchimp. It’s 104.196.152.252. Please add this IP in your SpamFireWall Whitelist here.

The IPs seem to be constantly changing, but we can’t determine them because they don’t have a DNS name.

    OK thanks.
