Problem with Sql database

  • Hi,
    So i asked a friend to creat a newwebsite for me and he did. He sent me two files one is the theme in zip form and the database. I have installed the theme, and it works fine but the images and all the work he has done is not showing. The theme looks like the first time i got it. I made sure I rest the theme so none of the old items will show, so i am sure it is not from my PC. I an looking at the SQL file now but can’t get my theme to pull the images from it.

    Any one can help. Please.

  • It sounds as if all the media files are missing. You would also need him to send you the wp-content/uploads folder and upload it to your site via FTP.

    No i am working locally my site is not uploded yet and i me sure he sent all the files necessary but i don’t know how to work with the files

    Well if he sent you the files you should find a folder called wp-content/uploads and be able to copy the entire contents into the same place on your local setup and everything should work. In your original post you said he sent you the theme and database files, keep in mind that the media files are NOT stored in the theme folder ??
