• After I installed stats, I waited a few days and noticed that I was not getting any visits even though I knew people were visiting my site.

I checked through the forums etc and found out I should have a smiley at the bottom of my pages, so I checked and found no smiley. Then I discovered that I needed the <?php wp_footer(); ?> code in my footer. I added it, but still have no smiley.

    My site is https://www.zoeselina.com

If anyone can help me with getting the smiley in my footer so I can start counting my visitors I would be very appreciative.

  • The smiley is there.

The smiley is called through JavaScript so the smiley will only be shown to visitors with JavaScript enabled on your site. (Didn’t WP used to place a static smiley instead of JavaScript? I never used WP stats so somebody please correct me if I am wrong.)

Thanks. Yes, I have it now. I had to clear my cache to get it to show up. ??
