I’m sure I’m just missing something here, but I’ve got display-posts set to pull a bunch of posts from a particular custom post type. By default I know that sticky posts aren’t supported in custom post types, so I installed the “Sticky Posts Switch” plug-in, and at least in the backend, it does what it says, an option becomes available to make the CPT sticky, and it behaves similarly to sticky posts in regular posts. However, on the front end of my loop set by display-posts, it makes no difference to its position in the loop, irrespective of the option I set in the ignore_sticky_posts parameter. It stays somewhere in the middle instead of going to the top.

    What am I missing?

    Many thanks!

Turns out there is something in my site that is blocking the default behaviour, because it works perfectly in a vanilla testing site. That said, I deactivated all other non-relevant plugins and changed theme, but the issue persisted. So it’s not a plugin or a theme conflict, so now I have absolutely no idea.
