  • This is a problem still and/or new, as of WP6.2 and NinjaForms 3.6.20.

Solution posted on NinjaForms.com ( https://ninjaforms.com/blog/allow-users-to-edit-wordpress-form-submissions/ ) only includes adding another plugin, yet the links to said plugin (User Management, https://ninjaforms.com/extensions/user-management/) go to a 404 page at ninjaforms.com.

It also does not include what appears to be a deleted blog post detailing script for the functions.php file, that currently does not work ( https://dd1b7be13b.nxcli.net/blog/editor-access-for-ninja-form-submissions/ ).

All roads seem to lead to paid support or nothing for this recent change. Is this the case? Is the feature to allow Editors to view submissions no longer available unless you are a member user, or does that not work either? IE with paying, can I get Editors to be able to see the submissions?

Thanks, your quick response would be appreciated.

FYI – I tried the user role manager, but it was not a solution – there was only ONE ninja form capability, and checking that did not give editors access to be able to download submissions.

Is there anyone from NinjaForms monitoring this forum?

Hi all, and sorry for the delayed response. We only occasionally check in on these threads. In the future, you can always reach out to us?in support here?for much faster response times and more effective troubleshooting. We do offer free support.

Specifically to this topic: by default, access to submissions is allowed by admins only due to the often sensitive / personally identifiable information found in form submissions. There are various manual ways to change that, but most of them required either too much technical overhead to be useful for too many, or were just a pain to work with in general. We now have a bespoke feature for configuring submission access on a fairly granular level. That is found in our User Management add-on. There’s a description on that page, and a deeper dive into the functionality on our documentation for User Management.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I tried the user management solution and it did not work. I will try it again and see if things had changed – I think I submitted a ticket through ninja support.

If it doesn’t work, I will resubmit a ticket for assistance.

But it definitely did not accomplish what it said it would.
