problem with tables markdown

I mainly thought of adding Markdown to my blog for tables. Would be great if the pull request can make it all the way here somehow.

Is there not a filter you can hook to to add additional processing to the content? It seems like there should be.

This I believe was in 1.5 which was later withdrawn because of bugs. When 1.5.1 is released, tables will be supported.
