    Hi!

Using theme Autofocus on WordPress 2.9.2, I experience a small problem with the layout of the front page. See https://www.whatkeepsmegoing.com. Or click here to see what I mean. With some posts, when mouose-over, the display is as should be: gray transparent area with few lines of text of the post. With some posts, below the few linex of text, the theme displays some xml code showing the permalink. This is both unwanted and unneeded. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

    Thanks! Menno.

  • Looks like an issue within the theme or a conflict with a plugin.

Are you using the latest version of the theme?
Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

The author of autofocus released a new version, Autofocus+. However, I prefer the layout of the ‘old’ theme.

Looking a bit further into this, I found a note on the site of webpage of the author: If you are getting weird gallery shortcode CSS in your excerpts on the home page and archives, simply add some text to the Excerpt content area of your post and all should be well.

This solution works. I found the code only appears if the text of a post is very short (which in my case of often the case). So in case of short posts, I will have to copy the post text to the excerpt field and then post or update. That’s ok as a solution ??

    Thanks! Menno.
