Hi, I recently used Chaplin theme and my blog and it’s so amazing, in the customizer tab I choose a dark color, and I noticed that it is connected to Gutenberg Content Editor, but now that I migrated to other theme, the setting of my block editor is still the same, making it so hard to read and write contents on my blog, how can I revert back my previous gutenberg block editor? The problem start when I used the chaplin theme hoping that you can fix this!

    Hi @kenshin004,

That sounds odd – the custom colors generated for the block editor are generated in the theme code, so when the theme is deactivated, they shouldn’t be able to be output. Can you try switching to a different theme (like one of the default themes) to check if the issue persists there, just to make sure it’s not an issue with your new theme?

Chaplin – Darkmode gutenberg this is because of my choosen color on the customizer.
Generate Press – Light theme and light fonts color, hard to read.
    Twenty Twenty – Not affected.
    Neve theme – Not affected.

@kenshin004 Can you check the color settings when you have Generate Press active, if the theme includes color settings?

Yes they have color setting on the front end, Im not sure if it inherit the front end.
Do you know other way to customize the gutenberg block editor background color and text? I tried some using function.php and a css file, but I can’t let it get to work.

@kenshin004 You need to enqueue CSS in functions.php. You can search for the block editor styles file name in Chaplin, and copy the code tused there.

You can also try to ac tivate Chaplin, reset the color settings in the Chaplin, and then reactivate Generate Press and see if that changes anything.

This problem is from Generatepress theme, they have inherit the text but not the background color. Thanks for the info.
