Problem with the Evening Shade theme

  • When I try to upload an image from my computer to set as the header image, I get an error message saying “A valid URL was not provided.” Is there any way I can resolve this as I actually like this theme.

    No, only with this theme. I’ve tried contacting the developer, but not getting any replies. He has a paid version now and I would happily buy it but his communication/support leave a lot to be desired.

    It’s a pretty old theme and the developer probably no longer supports it. In general, it’s best to avoid any theme that hasn’t been updated in more than a year – hence the warning on the theme’s Repo page.

    I think your only option, if you want to continue to use this theme, would be to hire someone to update it for you. Try https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or https://directory.codepoet.com/

    I want to keep this theme as I really like it, just a pity about the support. Yes, I will probably have to hire someone to upload a header image, something that is fairly simple with most other themes.
