• Hi, I don’t know why but from yesterday I have a problem with the redirect of my website. Polylang redirect the homepage/it/home to /it and the english one /en/homeen to /en and give me an error because there is no page in /it & /en . I tried to disactivate the plugin and now it works, but I need it, may you help me? My website is https://www.onedentalbeauty.com

  • I can confirm this issue with polylang 2.0.6.

For now I just got back on 2.0.5.

    Cynon hi,
Could you please let us know the steps you followed to go back to 205?

    Thanks in advance!

same here.. it redirects from homepage/es/inicio to homepage/es
going back to 2.0.5. is not doing the trick for me.

my dev/local installation works fine with 2.0.6, only prod environment fails.

    Hi!

@lucianoga I don’t reproduce the issue, neither on your site, nor on my test site.

    Hi isfak,

    the easiest way:

    1. !Go to the Polylang-settings > Tools
See if “Remove all Polylang data when using the “Delete” link on the plugins screen.” is UNchecked
    2. Delete the polylang-Version 2.0.6.
    3. Go to https://srd.www.ads-software.com/plugins/polylang/developers/
    Download Version 2.0.5
    4. Install the Plugin Version 2.0.5 manually

If you have caching activated (i.e. W3 Total Cache) > Empty all caches

    Hope this helps. ??
At least for me it did.

2.0.5. is working. @isfak, managed to get it working after updating prod environment with “migrate db plugin”, as in my first attempt to download the 205.zip from the repository did not succeed.

    Guys hi,

Thanks for the quick tip. I did it using @cynon ‘s way, so now it works with 2.0.5.
    Thank you all!

Got the same problem, went back to 2.0.5 and solved it.

However I’m also wondering about another thing that I’m not sure was like this in previous versions (but maybe so) and also related to the redirects…

When you enable “Hide URL language information for default language” and let assume my default language code is “/pt” what I’m seeing is that this setting is not relay “hiding” but removing the “/pt” completely…

I was expecting that hiding meant “redirect /pt/$path to /$path if”… but what I’m seeing is that we type “example.com/pt/page” we get a 404…

Is this the expected behaviour or am I doing something wrong?

I can workaround this on the web server, so its not a major issue, but just want to be sure its really the default behaviour, I had the impression it worked different in previous versions… btu maybe I’m mixing things.

    @chouby:

Thank you for your fast fixing and your great work overall! 2.0.7 works great again.
