Problem with the_meta(); Custom Fields

  • Can you please explain, why we need custom fields, I am using <?php the_meta(); ?> tag to display custom fields on the front end just below the featured image.
    Now i can see these two fields on every blog post at my blog

    • wp_crosspost_destination: justlearnwpblog.wordpress.com
    • wordpress_post_id: 9728
