    Hi,

I have created a couple of instances of countdown timers on my website (sorry, it’s protected only to student users). They work very well, except for a conflict of some sort with the WordPress theme. I have a top navigation menu, some items have long dropdowns, and the dropdown overlays the countdown timer text on the site main page. At this point, things go a bit wonky.

I have set some text in the field “Countdown options”, “Before countdown” and if the dropdown site menu overlays this text, the menu items overlaying it are not selectable. If the dropdown menu “avoids” this text, but overlays the counter itself, all is well.

As I move down the menu, all items are selectable as normal, until I get to the one that overlays the “Before countdown” text. As I hover over it, the entire dropdown menu disappears.

Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

    Kind regards
    YikYak

    Hi @yikyak,

    Thank you for connecting us.
Can you share a URL where I can see that issue on live?

Sorry, it isn’t possible to show you live. My site is only open to my students (authenticated users against their Uni accounts). I’ve simply stopped using the field “Countdown options”, “Before countdown” and placed this text in the post with the countdown shortcode instead. This has stopped the problematic behaviour (which was still evident in the recent 2.0.0 update).
