Problem with theme loading speed

    Hi guys , i recently designed my own theme for my site , the problem is that with my theme , my site start loading really slow , i mean when i hit the address in explorer , for about 10 seconds its seems that nothing is happening , and then my site start loading , and after the start the speed is good because its a full div design and no table , but when i use the default theme , there is no gap time in loading start.i wonder whats wrong with my design? is there a code i should consider ? by the way my address is https://www.sinaview.com

    First of all: Beautiful theme!

    Second of all: It takes me waaaaay longer than 10 seconds for your site to load on Firefox. 30 seconds best and it’s not even fully loaded yet for me and I am on DSL which is a reasonably fast connection.

    Have you tried validating your site and fixing the validation errors and then working from there?

    I noticed that you have numerous scripts running in addition to just your theme files, could those be the culprit? Do the scripts have to fully load before the rest of your website loads?

    When you compare the default theme and your theme, what is the difference? What does your theme have and use that the default theme doesn’t?

    my problem is that it takes 10 to 20 seconds for my page to start loading.and nothing happein in that 10 to 20 seconds and nothing appear in browser , i dont know what code or script is the cause of that.
    after this 10 to 20 second , loading iss fine and quick

    i just found the problem , it was because of the plugin i used for
    fetching my google reader shared items : Recommended Reading: Google Reader Shared

    i disable it and speed in good now , can u confirm it EMG ?

    Awesome to know you might have found the solution to your problem! ??

    It is starting to load within 5 seconds now!

    Have you tried disabling any other plugins to see if the theme alone loads faster?

    i should optimize some of the images of my theme , and a little some scripts , then i’m sure it will load faster ??

    Congrats on creating a great looking theme and good luck on the optimization! I hope you can get your theme to load as quick as possible! ??
