Problem with thumbnails when using Featured Video Plus

    that’s a nice plugin ?? where will the image of the video come from? what I’m saying though is I don’t think I can add a function just for grabbing an image from a video (sorry).

    but, I’ve tested the video plugin and popular posts tab does have display issues since popular posts plugin is expecting an image but video plugin has replaced “Featured Image” with a video instead.

    so, what I did was I went to Settings -> Media and under Featured Videos->Usage, I selected the 3rd option “Replace featured image with video on click and auto play if possible” which worked well enough.

    that replaced the embeded video with an image from the video unfortunately. if you still want to use the 1st option in the Media settings, then I’m afraid you’re left with this solution:

    for each post you must add a post meta with key of “thumbnail” or “Thumbnails” and the value of the post meta is the url to your featured image. Popular posts plugin will pick up that meta key and show that image instead.

    Thank you! “3rd Option” worked for us – we had it by fluke but then changed the setting and didn’t know what happened.
