I have a small page and am just starting, but the title tag and the meta description are not the ones I use in the Yoast SEO plugin. In addition a page that I don’t even have anymore is listed at the top in the google search results and when you click on it you get to my homepage, the page should neither exist nor link to my homepage.
Does it normally take a few days for the meta description to be updated?
And why do Googel and duckduckgo show different and both wrong meta descriptions?
And Yoast SEO says that I have two Readability Problems: Consecutive sentences and Transition words. But I checked both and this cannot be true anymore because now I have in every second sentence a transistion word.
I use Elementor Page Builder for my pages.
I use google and mozilla.(Title Tag & Meta descritption)
I also tried duckduckgo and Chrome.(Title Tag & Meta descritption)
    Thanks for writing back.

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! We have addressed your concerns below:

Discrepancy in SEO title and meta description shown in search results
If the SEO title and meta description shown in search results are different from what you have entered in the Yoast SEO plugin, it may take a while for Google to update their index. It also depends on how often your site is crawled.

    Page redirect to homepage
Can you please share the URL of this page? If it exists and you do not want it indexed, you may set it as noindex. If you do not want it to exist or redirect, you can simply delete it and not redirect it

    Consecutive sentences and Transition words
The Yoast SEO for WordPress Premium plugin analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), Yoast SEO for WordPress Premium might not be able to detect it by default.

In the past, we have tried to parse shortcodes and other content boxes with inferior results. Therefore, we opted to provide plugin and theme developers with an API that they can use to pass their content to our page analysis.

If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their code. This help article will help them with the implementation —?Can I add data to the page analysis?

With that being said, while our plugin isn’t able to detect all your text blocks and shows an incorrect analysis report, this doesn’t mean that search engines won’t be able to parse them. Our content analysis is to validate the content of your website and doesn’t really affect how search engines crawl and index your site.

Hello can i upload screenshots to show it? If not then google “centium100” this is the name of my site and of the domain. If you Google it it will show 2 different search results one of them has this title tag:Motivation – centium100 but I deleted this site. Also the other search result is this one. centium100: Homepage but the one i used in Yoast SEO is Homepage – centium100.
And here is the link : centium100.com

Also in Duckduckgo the meta description is still false. But in Google they use the right one already.

    Hi @felix0908,

As confirmed by checking the page source of your homepage https://centium100.com/ we do see the title being outputted is correct as per input in your Yoast SEO.

    <title>Homepage - centium100</title>

Likewise, while doing the Google specific-site search site:<site-url> we do see the title being outputted in the search result is also Homepage – centium100

For any URL showing the wrong meta-information we suggest doing the URL inspection in your Google Search Console. This will force Google to update the index. You may need to use it several times. This guide explains more:?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fetch-as-googlebot/.

That is weird because my search result in Google still is centium100: Homepage not Homepage-centium100. Is it possible that there are different search suggestions?
And you recommend that I use googel search console to delete a suggestions with the title tag Motivation – centium100 but I read that you only can check if this page is indexed, and also this page links to my homepage which is very weird.
But still thanks for writing back.

@felix0908 Whereas Google typically uses the title from the metadata for indexing, this is not always the case. Google will sometimes modify the title of the URL as it sees fit, as well as sometimes adding the brand or sitename to the end of your title. This is not due to the plugin not functioning as expected, but rather is due to Google modifying the Title it indexes as it’s algorithm has concluded that there is a better version to index.

We also have additional information on this topic available at the following links: https://yoast.com/google-page-title/ and https://kb.yoast.com/kb/google-shows-different-titles-for-my-site/. Please refer to these articles as the include recommendations for crafting a page title which will help increase the likelihood that Google will use the title you specified instead of modifying your page’s title as it sees fit.

Ok thanks, so perhaps Google modified the title. And what about the URL that should not exist? Do you think that when I create a new page with the same URL and then delete it again, that this will help? My domain is centium100.com and the path I mentioned before is centium100.com/motivation. And I also asked this question in the Google Search Console Forum, how I get this URL out of the search results.
    Thanks for writing back

    Hi,

Upon checking https://centium100.com/motivation it first creates a 301 redirect to https://centium100.com/?elementor_library=motivation and then another 301 redirect to the homepage https://centium100.com.

Eventually, over time, Google will stop showing the old URL once it has identified that that page has been permanently redirected and no longer exists. You can learn more about it here — https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/19270056?hl=en & https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/crawling/301-redirects?hl=en&visit_id=637408308871914447-2091799891&rd=1
