I’ve done this before for my course website so I don’t know why I can’t figure it out here. I suspect it’s the plugin setup.

I have GST on my totals as I’m in Australia. I’ve set that up in Paypal fine. On my course website, I ensure that the cost before GST is sent to Paypal and then it adds the right GST and the invoice the buyer gets is correct.

But I can’t get that to work with this plugin. In the fees section, I have the cost of the event without GST added.

Then when the person registers, it has Registration fee <amount without GST>, Sales Tax <GST amount>, Total <Total with GST>.

Then when it goes to Paypal, it pulls in the Total cost rather than the Registration fee minus tax. So Paypal adds tax on top of that amount. I would prefer that the pre-tax amount went to Paypal, so Paypal could then add the tax amount on top.

I know this is an American system so it may not be possible, but let me know if there’s a workaround. Just having the total rego fee as the amount without tax isn’t feasible because it’s misleading to the customer. Thanks

The plugin includes the tax when sending to paypal(or other payment vendors) as it is a single total transaction. If you want to track the tax on your paypal, do not include it in the registration page.
