    Hi,

I’m using only Complianz to set the Universal Analytics UA Tracking Code on my site. The problem is that the cookies (“ga”, “gid” and “gtag”) fire even though they’re blocked by default. This doesn’t change even when the user blocks them on the cookie banner.

Tried to find solutions from the forum archive, but couldn’t find one. Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Sami

    Hello @designsamipeltonen,

I have visited the site in an Incognito window, but did not see any Google Analytics related cookies being set prior to consent.

Could you visit your website in an Incognito window as well, and don’t provide any consent in the Cookie Banner yet, then check which cookies have been set? There shouldn’t be any Analytics cookies yet.

I’m curious to hear about your results!

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Yes, you’re absolutely right. They are completely gone.

But when I allow Statistical cookies on the banner now, nothing appears. Am I missing something?

    My mistake, Jarno.

I was looking at the cookie setup through my heavily-fortified Firefox browser. Switching to vanilla Edge shows me clearly that only after my consent do the Google Analytics cookies appear on the site.

So, Complianz works just as it should. Sorry about the false alarm. Thank you for your help.
