Subject: Problem with uneven scrolling in tabs

    Hello,

I hope you can help me with a problem with uneven scrolling behavior in tabs. I am using the Tabby Responsive Tabs plugin in conjunction with the Tabby Link to Tab plugin. The tabs contain links both in the table of contents at the top and below the tab content.

    Problem:

    • Scrolling to the tabs works as expected when I click on the links in the table of contents at the top.
    • However, when I click on the links below the tab content, the page first scrolls down and then up to the target tab. This results in undesirable behavior.
    • The behavior could possibly be due to the different sizes of the tab content. However, it should be possible to compensate for this with ‘tabgroup=1’ as there is only one tab menu on the page.

You can see the problem particularly clearly on the page by following my help link. For example, click below the first tab to go to the second tab. Please note that the problem is reproducible and not limited to my example page

I would be very grateful for your help in identifying and solving this problem.

    Yours sincerely

This scrolling behaviour is due to the active tab’s content being positioned in the browser viewport and the correct position can only be determined once the tab is open as the tab group changes height when a tab is selected in accordion mode.

i recognise that this is not ideal, and there are plans to change how this works in a future version of the plugin.
