• Resolved Willem 2

After installing 3.5, the content menu bar (when adding or changing messages) is not displayed.

I tried the following five ‘solutions’:

1: I installed 3.5 and then deactivated the active plugins one by one

2: Using FTP, I changed the name of the plugin folder and than installed 3.5 in admin.

3: I have dowloaded 3.5 and than uploaded with FTP everything except the content directory.

4: I removed all inactive plugins

5: I’ve changed my theme in a WP theme.

Between every ‘solution’ I have put my backup back.

Nothing worked until now. Is there someone who can help me?

  • Have you tried:

    – switching to the Twenty Twelve theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by PhpMyAdmin.

I already tried that solotion but I tried it once more to be sure. First I switched to the Twenty Twelve theme, than I followed the next instructions to reset the plugins folder:

Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
    2. Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
    3. Login to your WordPress administration menus (/wp-admin)
    4. Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”

After step 3 I tried to install 3.5 This didn’t solute the problem.

Try adding define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false ); to the bottom of your wp-config.php file (just before the require_once line).

There was a .htaccess file in wp-admin. I removed this and solved the problem.
