Login to your server using the FTP client, locate the wp-content/uploads
folder, and right-click the uploads folder, select File Permissions from the menu.
Check all boxes apart from the bottom Write box, this should give you the figure of 755
in the box marked Numeric Value. Click OK.
Try upload an image to your media library again, it should work fine.

as I’ve just noticed you’re trying 755 which won’t make the folders writeable, they need to be at least 775.
