• Hello, the plugin is wonderful but since moving the website to a new server we’ve had a problem with the Visitors page. If I try to look at visitors in the Dashboard or opening the Visitors page (I’m translating from Italian, Visitatori) I see a database connection error. Everything else on the website works fine though. WordPress and the plugin are up to date, php is version 7.4.19.

Do you have any ideas about what might be the cause? Thanks a lot.

Hi, thank you for opening the topic.

Can you please check what error is logged on your error_log on your server?

    I actually don’t see a related error in error_log.

The website was moved to a new server and the domain extension changed from .eu to .it, is it possible this is causing problems?

Probably might be, can you deactivated the plugin and activated again?

I tried, but I still get the error.

Can you tell me what error message do you get?

Error reconnecting to database (loosely translated, I see it in Italian).

Weird indeed, there is no this kind of error in the plugin. I guess there might be an infinity request that caused it to block the MySQL connection for a moment.

Can you take a screenshot of the issue? also, make some screenshots of the XHR requests on your Browser Tools → Network

Sorry, I thought I had replied but looks like I didn’t. There are no XHR requests. This is a screenshot:

Can you enable WP_DEBUG_LOG in wp-config.php to receive the php errors? then check the debug.log in your root directory

I tried, but there is no error. I also tried visualizing errors on the browser while being on the backend page from the screenshot, but there’s just a warning about something unrelated.
