• Hello,

I’ve been struggling with this problem from long time ago, I want to know how I can fix it. Basically, since we use the W3 Total Cache, it catches all the pages so guests are served very quickly. Sometimes we want to show the splash screen to promote things, so any user that opens our page for the first time is shown this page. The problem is that with guests they try to load the same page all the time, as it’s cached. What’s the perfect setting for this in order not to happen?

A work-around that is not too desirable is adding a parameter to the URL, so it loads another one different than the root page (the one with the splash screen, but also the main page of the website) so it opens the main page of the website, but sometimes and depending on the browser it works, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes you need to click twice on the link (the fist time with a random get parameter, the second with two).

I’d really appreciate it if you could share any possible solution for this that doesn’t involve not caching our main page.

If you need further explanation, just ask. Thank you for your time. Kind regards.
