I use Kadence Blocks. When I select Kadence Blocks Tabs, then I can’t add any content to a tab.

When I disable Widget Options it’s possible to add content to the tab.

When Widget Options is enable, i try to diable all options one by one. And then still I can’t add any content.

So Widget Options and Kadence Blocks aren’t working together.

    Hi @peterleenders,

    Dear Users,

We’ve added a function to disable Widget Options in pages/posts blocks and also fixed the other issue reported by other users. We are now in the testing phase. Once confirmed, the release will follow.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Regards,
    Mej

    Hi?@peterleenders,

    We’ve released v4.0.1.

Could you please update to v4.0.1, and then navigate to Widget Options settings’ page (settings > Widget Options), and disable the “Gutenberg Page & Post Block Options“?

Thank you, and please let us know how it goes.

This solution works, but is not the solution I need. I want to use both Kadence Blocks Tabs and Widget Options simultaneously.

Ah, I thought you didn’t want to use widget options in posts/pages. If “Gutenberg Page & Post Block Options“ is enabled, is the Kadence tab still not working properly?

When I enabled Gutenberg Page & Post Block Options then the Kadence tab is workin properly, but I want to use the Widget Options for the tab.

I have a set of 3 tabs that I want to show until a certain date and after that date I want to show a other set of 3 tabs.

Also I have a set of 2 tabs that I like to show just for people who are logged in and a other set of 2 tabs for people who are not logged in.

Hey @peterleenders, we’re happy to troubleshoot more with you! Please shoot over details to [email protected] so we can continue digging into this.

Glad to know the Widget Options and Kadence no longer have issues. With regards to visibility of tabs depending on days/date, it is available to our Widget Options Extended (pro version). But the login user state is available in free version.

If the login user state is not working, you may shoot over the screenshots and details to [email protected] and our team can review that with you!

@steven Stern: If I want that the author of the plugin see for her/him self what the problem is, then I have to offer this. That does not mean I am posting this info on this forum.

I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums and hope the OP does not include credentials when contacting you off-forum. As you know, accepting credentials is a violation of our guidelines.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    • Ask for a link to the https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com log of the user’s web server error log.
    • Ask the user to create and post a link to their phpinfo(); output.
    • Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
    • Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
    • Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
    • Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

@peterleenders NO. You may not offer to send credentials if you want to continue to use the wp.org forums. You do not “have to” let them access your site. Oh, the horror stories (for both users and devs) we could tell.

@sterndata understand for sure that you’re protecting the ecosystem here and its users. We were just offering to directly support Peter though. That could include screen captures etc. If you reference the previous comment you will note that we did not request access to his site.

Was there anything in particular that didn’t follow guidelines?

I’ve asked the plugins team to look into this.

    Thread Starter Peter Leenders

    (@peterleenders)

If I may not ask for help then I will not do that anymore. But it is my own site and I decide who gets access to it. So I decide who I send the credentials to. BUT I WILL NEVER POST THEM PUBLICLY.

Do not chance the status to “RESOLVED”, because is not resolved.
