Problem with WordPress URL

    Hi all,

    I’m new to WP, but have a strong background in Moveable Type 4+, coding, and server management. We have WP 2.5 installed on our dedicated server. All seems to be running fine, except:

    Installed WP at:
    https://mydomain.com/main

    I’ve tried to set the WordPress URL in Admin panel to same: https://mydomain.com/main (I’ve confirmed that MySQL has the correct URL in the table.)

    But I get errors trying to login. So, I’ve set the WP URL and MySQL back to https://mydomain.com and everthing is fine.

    Should I be concerned that WP is actually installed in /main, but the WP URL does not reflect this?
