Problem with XMLRTC even after deleting

  • Hi, I installed All in One Security and activated the pingback protection, which I then found out caused the remote posting through the wordpress iPhone app to stop working (I read that this can happen after doing it).

    However, I haven’t been able to fix it. I tried disabling pingback protection, disabling the app and finally deleting it altogether. None of these have made the WordPress app work again.

    I am fairly sure that something has changed with the xmlrtc settings, and it didn’t change back when I deleted the app.

    The plugin doesn’t modify anything else except the .htaccess file when you activate the pingback protection.
    Check your .htaccess file and make sure that the following entry is not there anymore:

    #AIOWPS_PINGBACK_HTACCESS_RULES_START
<IfModule mod_alias.c>
RedirectMatch 403 /(.*)/xmlrpc\.php$
</IfModule>
