    Hi,

I’ve got the following three plugins installed:
    – qTranslate X
    – Yoast SEO
    – Yoast SEO & qTranslate X

I’ve updated the plugins today, and now the translations doesn’t work anymore for the SEO part of the pages. Content of the SEO part, e.g. meta description is now shown like “[:de]Beschreibung in deutsch[:en]description in english[:]”. Clicking the flags below the SEO part doesn’t work anymore.

I’ve switched off ALL other plugins to see if this makes a difference, but it does not. The problem is definitely produced by one of these three.

I appreciate any idea, especially since my work really relies on this website and working SEO.

    qTranslate X – version 3.4.6.1
    Yoast SEO & qTranslate X version 1.1

Check – Settings – Languages – Integration – Configuration Files

Is there this file in the list? plugins/wp-seo-qtranslate-x/i18n-config.json

If so Save Canges again. See if that makes a difference.

First thank you for your quick answer.

I can only find “languages” in qTranslate X settings, but no “integration” or “configuration files”. “Language configuration” in the list is saying “predefined” for all languages. I’ve made a screenshot: https://imageshack.us/i/p7lhlE8fp

There’s another problem popping up now: Every page SEO part says “Page Analysis has been disabled.” now.

I’ve checked third party plugins as supposed here https://kb.yoast.com/article/284-page-analysis-has-been-disabled, those do not seem to be the cause

Which version of WordPress are you using?

I had already discovered this but only on version 4.4-alpha-35015

On my test site with WP version 4.3.1 this is not the case.

This is only the case for pages and not in posts?

The problem seems to be here Yoast SEO & qTranslate X and only on pages not posts can you confirm this?
Enable Yoast SEO & qTranslate X temporarily to check.

I’m using WordPress 4.3.1, that’s the latest version (my Dashboard at least says so).

The problem is occuring both in pages and posts. Yoast SEO & qTranslate X is enabled.

Yes, I can also reproduce it in version 4.3.1

I found when Focus Keyword is filled with information you get this message.

Without Yoast SEO & qTranslate X the message is gone.

I’ve asked John to look at this. So, be patient. We live in time differences…..

Yes, “Page analysis” has been disabled, since it has never worked correctly with “Yoast SEO & qTranslate-X” anyway, producing confusions and frustrations. The main description page, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-seo-qtranslate-x/, says:

The biggest issue is that “Page Analysis” has not yet been fully integrated, and it is disabled unless Single Language Editor Mode is in use, which can be set on “Advanced” tab of “Languages” configuration page: /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=qtranslate-x#advanced. If you have time and resources, please feel free to submit pool request to the plugin repository at GitHub with the implementation of “Page Analysis” for other editor modes. However, it may not be possible without asking Yoast to put a few additional filters within “Yoast SEO” plugin code.

I am also curious how your first problem with configuration files occurred. Changelog, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-seo-qtranslate-x/changelog/, says:

Enhancement: moved to the new integration way using i18n-config.json file. You have to deactivate/activate plugin when updating. Normal WP update would be sufficient, but if you simply override the files, then you will miss the plugin integration configuration.

Did you override files without doing deactivation/activation? Please, try giving as much details as possible. This is the first time we moved integrating plugin to 18n-config.json, and we need to know how problems may happen.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

wow, that’s fast answering here. ?? Great!

I just updated the plugin via the plugins list and the usual update buttons. The plugin was not deactivated before updating. If I can help you with further information, please feel free to ask anything.
