Problems

  • *Tried again on a different installation, different hosting company, this time caused an error. Reduced from three to one star.

    Pop up didn’t show up, can’t link the image when using image pop up, troubleshooting becomes tiresome when all the support answers say is “go to our pro support page”. Faster to find another pop up plugin. Thanks, but moving on.

    *edit: apparently you have to use a shortcode on the page/post. Not what I wanted.

    Hi @jjanthony,

    We are sorry you have a hard time with the plugin usage but I can assure you it’s very easy to use when you know how.

    1) There are 2 ways to setup a popup on a page/post
    * simply add our shortcode [sg_popup id=1] inside the page/post content
    * at the bottom of every page/post you will see Popup Builder’s metabox with title ‘Select popup on page load’ you need to select the popup which should be opened.

    2) How to redirect a user when he/she clicks on the image?
    From the ‘Options’ section(on the right side) check the ‘Dismiss on content click’ option and you will see ‘Redirect’ option where you can setup the URL.

    As you can see there is nothing problematic ??

    We are really doing our best to make the plugin better with each update.

    I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that the shortcode works and add another star, but the interface is not up to par with the other pop-up plugins I’m using now, not very intuitive. It was faster to try two more until I found one that works right out of the box. Thanks though.
