• Hello,

Ever since updating to the latest WP, I have experienced various issues and this is not a server issue or an issue with my theme as far as I understand. (https://adriftanywhere.com)

Issue One: When inserting image media, regardless of where the cursor is it will insert to the top of the post.

Issue Two: In “customization” – Typography sections will not drop down and I cannot fix header size within posts.

Issue Three: I can no longer insert links “Visual Settings” instead I have to go into Text, locate the words I want linked and insert from there.

All of these issues only started after the update to the latest version and I have cleared my cache. Any feedback/tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

    Thank You,

    Susan

The blog I need help with is https://www.adriftanywhere.com.

  • Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if any are causing those problems?

If not, leave them off and switch to a default theme (twentyfourteen) – do you still have the same problems?

Hi WPyogi, I deactivated the plugins then switched to twentyfourteen and I’m still having the same issues. Is there anything else that I can try?

Sure, okay, so you’ll need to download a new copy of WP to your local computer and replace all files and folders from your site EXCEPT wp-content and wp-config.php file. Be sure to delete the old copies before uploading the new ones – so they’re sure to be cleanly replaced.

I just updated to 4.1. After the update, I no longer can create an outside link on a webpage. I highlight the words to be linked, then click the link icon…..nothing. No pop-up menu to allow for the link.

I have deactivated all plugins but I still can’t add links. HELP!

My site is based on debate and without the comments working, I no longer have debate.

It is critical that this plugin begin working again.

    Help please.

    folks:

Is there an easy way I can revert to the previous version of WordPress.

    I am not a coder.

    thx

Hey Folks, we just upgraded out site to 4.1 today.

Every time I add a new page, it adds the content of the new pages into the homepage. So, when you open our homepage, the content from the additional pages loads and then the original home page contact loads under it.

This sounds like suzaksu’s problem with the images loading at the top of the page.

    Any solutions?

    Hello,

I can’t add a link in the visual editor or the text editor. And when I highlight the text I want to link to the scroll bar on the right hand side disappears. Anyone got any ideas?

Yes, the best idea would be to create your own thread so that someone can help you with your issue and not get confused by multiple conversations in one thread. See:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Where_To_Post

I’d also suggest including a link to your site – as it may help someone help you.

Our URL is https://www.suprememeditation.org/ We just did an upgrade to WP version 4.1. We are using the Tempera theme, version 1.2.6. After the upgrade, the small arrow in the pull-down menus has now become a big, bold are pointing to the top menu item. This only appears this way in the Google Chrome browser. I have reported the issue to Chrome but I don’t expect to hear back from them.

Anyone having the same problem or have a solution?

@suprememeditation – please see my post right above yours – you should not be posting in this thread. That said, this may be a quick fix as your site looks fine to me in Chrome – try clearing your cache and cookies in Chrome.

Thank you. That took care of it. Sorry for posting in the wrong place.

Cool, no worries, next time you’ll know :)!

But since this thread is now pretty confusing and has strayed far from the OP, I’m going to close it. Anyone who still needs help, please feel free to start a new thread here:
