Problems after updating to WordPress 3.9

  • I don’t know much at all about how WordPress works, but we use it for our website piatravie.com. Since updating to WordPress 3.9 yesterday, I have been unable to add media into a page unless I type the code myself.

    Any advice would be welcome. I am very new to WordPress (except for simple blogging).

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    I am having problems updating my website. I am making some changes to the menu and it just takes forever and I am redirected to a page of nothing but white. Humblekeyz.com is the site and I don’t know how to start a string because it is not that simple. I looked for a new question string for a while and this is what has me frustrated.
