Hi, I just moved servers and upgraded from WP 1.5

Whenever I post I get this message, and the posts are not displaying. Many thanks for your help,

WordPress database error: [Duplicate entry ‘0’ for key 1]
    INSERT INTO wp_postmeta (post_id,meta_key,meta_value) VALUES (‘0′,’_encloseme’,’1′)

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /path/public_html/rinf/columnists/news/wp-includes/wp-db.php:121) in /path/public_html/rinf/columnists/news/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 275

  • Did you run the upgrade script?

Have you tried turning off your plugins? (I do hope you did that before the upgrade.)

Yep it was a clean install onto the new server with the latest version of WP, then imported my posts, comments and categories into the database.

The uploaded the plug-ins and activated them.

If you imported posts, you maybe should have emptied the wp_posts table first, you may have accidentally borked the whole thing with a duplicated post ID 1….

If I remove the wp_posts table, and upload my backup, will it work as normal?

    Thanks for your help,

    I don’t know. You’re using a version I won’t use myself….

I wouldn’t remove/drop the table – if I were going to dink in this, I’d empty the table, then click on SQL tab at the top of phpmyadmin screen, and copy to the query screen the contents of the table – you’d have to open the database file in notepad++ or notepad2, highlight that table (NOT the table setup information!), copy, then paste into the sql query screen.

Cheers, since I don’t know much about SQL I’ve installed WP again in a new directory and database, and am using the old one as an archive.

Not perfect I know, but at least my site is working again.
