I love this plugin and have used it on multiple sites. However, when class names for the same HTML element change in new versions, it breaks the visual appearance of the sites I use it on, costing my clients extra expense for me to fix things.

For example, we have styled the .date-start element in a unique way on one site and in the new version the class name changed to .tribe-events-date-start. Really, how necessary was such a change?

Of the dozens of plugins I have used on client sites, the Events Calendar is by far the most treacherous when it comes to CSS visual display problems caused by version updates.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the changes.

So the change was made because other plugins and themes would use that selector that would end up breaking styling in our plugin.

We hope to limit or eliminate doing that in the future.

    Thanks

Thanks for clarifying, Brian. I did not think of the possibility of class name conflicts with other plugins.

    Yeah no worries.

I can understand your frustrations with changes and we are attempting for future releases to not break existing customizations.

    Thanks
