• So I have a multi-level menu on one of my blogs. I created pages to generate the menu items however it’s possible to click on a menu item that is a parent and go to the ‘page’ which, while it does exist, would be nice if it wasn’t accessible. I’m thinking I’m doing this wrong – probably shouldn’t be building the menu with pages but I don’t know what the preferred way is to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Try to create a custom menu item for the parent with ‘#’ as hyperlink. This might do what you want but there is possibly a better way.

I think you are doing this RIGHT. Just be sure to list your sub-menu items as part of your page contents.
This way if I browse your site on a tablet or smart phone, then having your ‘menu place holder page’ will let me choose the sub-menu items from that page.
On a computer screen we are so familiar with using HOVER to activate pull-down menus, that we overlook that these newfangled tablets DO NOT have a hover attribute.
