I’ve created a wordpress blog via the installation process in my cPanel through Fantastic. I’ve recieved the installation email & have logged into & editted my WordPress blog site however my live website is still showing my web hosts default page. I have obviously missed a step to make it go live…could someone please help! Do I still need to do an ftp transfer via fileZilla or something????

    TIA

    Hello Swalin,

When i got his problem i contacted Support people of my Blog Hosting provider which is Znetindia. I talked to Mukesh Meena , a linux support guy over their and he made some changes but when i asked them about that

whether problem was with my code or something was to be done with their server configrations. But they didn’t answered me about this.

Sorry, I am also not aware what exactly problem was, but i feels it has to do something with the server settings and if you are having same problem.

Please contact your supprt people and they might come with solution.

hello I get this message can anybody help

    Not Found
The requested URL /wp-admin/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/1.3.37 Server at thecreativehealingplaybook.com Port 80

You don’t say if this is a new install, update or current site issue, if you can login to your main site or not, so it is difficult to help you.

Check if your /wp-admin/ folder exists, if so try copying the installed WP version files across manually. If you have updated recently try disabling any plugins or themes in your wp_content directory, except twenty-ten. This should force wordpress to load the defaults.

It could be hosting issues as mentioned by others above.

    Hello all,
My issue is finally resolved and it turned out that the coding of wp-admin directory needs “suhosin” extension and it was enabled in the server’s “php.ini”, so enabling/adding the extension did the trick.

Though i dont think any hosting gives access to their php.ini file, so our only resort is to call the support. nevertheless, its nicer to know what the issue was.

Hello its a new installation and I cannot log into the wordpress site. ??

I contacted my hosting service and they udated the DNS servER to point to the hostroute account, so now i get a wordpress sign in page but when i go to sign in it says
    Not Found

The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    any suggestions would be helpful
