• Hello,
testing your plugin, I detected an abnormal behavior, caused not by your plugin, but by the settings of the browser.

If a user does not accept cookies through browser settings (Firefox has many options about), your plugin tries to set [viewed_cookie_policy=yes], but, failing that, the banner is reloaded at every page refresh.

This behavior has very heavy effects if the plugin allows to reload the page on scroll or acceptance, especially on mobile devices (your plugin hasn’t this function yet in 1.3.2, but perhaps you’ll release in a future).

Since you can not change the settings of users browser, how can I do?

If the plugin fails to generate the technical cookie, can display a message informing the user that the settings of his browser do not allow the acceptance of cookies? Could the plugin at the same time stop reloading the page on acceptance or scroll?

    Thanks, Pier

If cookies are not enabled in the browser the plugin has no way of remembering that the user has clicked accept therefore the bar keeps appearing. This is expected behaviour, it’s not abnormal. Web statistics show that very few people switch of cookies in the browser. I don’t currently have plans to output a different message in that scenario.
