Problems on translations [WPML]

Hey limondv – We are currently working with WPML to get certified. We have identified a few issues resulting from usage of enabling translation on the popup_theme post type.

If you have unlimited themes extension this won’t be an issue. We are addressing it in a patch later this week.

Also I don’t see a button to open a popup on the second link.

Also the first link i found popups on the buttons on the right. There are the correct ones?

For reference in this issue, can you tell me both the normal popup ID and the translated ID?

Currently in testing the following does work but needs a little help until our patch goes in which will automate it.

Create popup in primary language.
Translate to second language.
In translated popup add the popmake-ID class from your primary language to the Extra Selectors text field on your translated Popups.

If possible email me with test credentials so I can try to work out a quicker fix.

We are working with WPML currently as I said and are adding in some automated fixes for translations.

Other than that our testing shows that the english wont load on a spanish page, and vice versa.

Hey limondv – Sorry yes, progress ha been slow with all the holiday backlog and the other support staff member leaving for a new career. I am trying to get last minute bug fixes out soon and then can focus on this for a bit.

@limondv – I have been working on it most of last week and will be this week as well. Trying to get it nailed down as we are about to begin translating our site and plugins as well.

Thanks, it has been an undertaking, mainly because of how we allow linking of post type to post type ( popups are a post type, and we allow targeting other pages & posts etc for where to load popups ).

This is the primary point of breakage now and basically requires that when you translate a popup we have to rematch all the translated page/post ids for targeting otherwise errors occur.
