problems on1and1 host

  • Hi experts,

    My host is https://www.1and1.com. I just loaded WP 3.1.2 and it worked just fine. I am now trying to install themes and plugins and that is not working consistently. Some themes and some plugins will install but others just hang. I’ve tried various browsers. Any ideas? Thank you for anything.

  • Try adding

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

    to an .htaccess file in your WP folder

    You should find fuRther support documentation for this at 1&1 under “PHP5”
