problems persisted after deactivation because of change to .htaccess
-
I tried this plugin because popular wisdom is that WordPress runs faster with caching. My site was still slow after installing this and even slower accessing the dashboard – but the problems persisted after I deactivated the plugin. Luckily I opened .htacess to check on something else and discovered a section of W3TC code. My site is running better now that I’ve deleted that code. Still not as fast as I want, but no more 503 errors!
