• I recently upgraded my site to a version of the Tonus theme, which includes Inline Ajax Comments. The only problem is the comments randomly load for me, but no one else seems to have any problem with them loading.

The problem occurs in both IE and FireFox, but seems to be limited to only me so far. I haven’t changed anything with the plugin’s original code (other than the color scheme, but the problem existed even before I made the change). Any ideas?

  • what do you mean by they randomly load for you?
if the problem only occurs only on one machine, then its not the website.
one thing i would check is… do the problems occur when you are logged on to the website (as admin or user)

Well, I’ve figured some things out since then (thus making it not so random), but still no fix. I thought it might be that I was logged in, but I’m only logged in under FireFox, yet it’s still a no-show in IE (plus I logged out just to test, but no luck).

I also thought it might be a cache problem, so I toyed with my cache size etc (clearing as well), but that didn’t seem to do anything. However, if I load the single page of any entry (doesn’t matter if it actually has comments) and then click a link back to the main page, it begins to reveal the inline ajax comments for all entries. But if I close the browser and re-open it, the problem is back.

I don’t really have enough understanding of how AJAX works etc, so I thought maybe I was missing something, but the other AJAX fueled plugin (Lightbox Plus) I have activated works no problem…
