Problems running Singapore

I’ve installed Singapore 0.9.11 and I’m having trouble integrating it into WordPress. I’ve done pretty much everything found here: https://www.sgal.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=2630#p2630
But I only get a blank screen in the WordPress page.. the galleries don’t show up. Do I have to pase the PHP code in the WYSIWYG editor on in the HTML editor? I’ve tried both ways without any luck.

Even if I’m getting some errors from Singapore (php_safe_mode related), I’d still should be able to show the galleries, am I right?
