Problems saving ACF content

    Hei!

    I am using in a new project Gutemberg Editor. It is the first time, and I found this problem using ACF:

    I ahve created a simple text ACF for all the Wp default pages. Using Gutemberg editor on Update, Wp save the Editor fields content but not the ACF content. On change or close the page WP alert about that some content it is not saved, and yes…is the ACF content.

    I tested in another site to see if it was general of a setting of my site, and I found the same problem.

    Do Somebody find the same problem?. How can I resolved? May be it is a bug?
    I am searching information about this issue, but still there is very litle in google.

    If I can not resolved I will drop the idea tu use Gutemberg for this project.

  • Hi Mariana!

    It sounds like this might be an issue with the ACF plugin, rather than Gutenberg. You might try asking this question in that plugin’s support forum:

    Ok! I will ask there.

    When I come back to the Classic editor, I don’t have any problem saving the ACF content.

    I wrote in ACF this:

    Hi!

    I am using for a new project Gutemberg Editor, and I found a problem with ACF:
    The content of ACF It is not saved when I Update the page.There is not problem on update the Gutemberg blocks content.
    When I come back to the the WP Classical editor, it save it normal.

    The the ACF that I created is a very simple text ACF. I fill the fields with content and save it, it looks to save the page, but on change the page WP Alert about that I will Loose content because there are info not updated. On refresh the page the content on the ACF is not updated.

    I tested in another site that it is in another hosting to see if it is general problem or the setting of my new site, and I found the same problem.

    Do Somebody find the same problem?. How can I resolved? May be it is a bug?

    I experience the exact same problem that you describe above. Have you found any solution?

    I have googlat without finding any solution.

    Hi Simon!

    Yes I resolved. I just updated ACF pro to the last version, and evering is working now.
    I was working with a old ACF version, and it was not prepared for Gutenberg.

    I have the latest version of ACF, but the free one. So probably the solution lies in running the pro version. I′ll try it out.
