I’m having troubles with my checkout page in woocommerce.

I’m developing a new site on my computer (Wamp). I installed WordPress in English, installed woocommerce and then I changed my wordpress language to Dutch (Belgian). Using Enfold theme.

Everything is showed in Dutch except the Checkout page, Proceed to Checkout button, Totals, etc…

I installed Loco translate but translation file is completely translated to dutch…

Removed woocommerce and tables from database and reinstalled woocommerce, same result. Changed theme…

I’ve read changing languages after woocommerce installation could cause problems but it should be possible to fix this, right?

    Help is very much appreciated.

  • Hey there, @82dt! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I know you already tried changing the theme, but some themes overwrite the translation, so can you please make sure this is not happening on the themes you tried?

You can do that by finding the theme in Loco Translate and looking for a duplicate in its?translation template?(assuming it has one). If the string is in there then add your language to the theme and translate that.

You might also want to try to clear any website cache, browser cache, or caching plugins. Sometimes, cached versions can stick around, not reflecting the latest translations.

Please let us know if this helped, if it didn’t we are here to continue to help you investigate this or guide you in the right direction.

    Have a wonderful day!
