• Hi, I searched all over and can’t find this, but can’t believe I’m the first to have this problem. I edit my index.php file and upload it via SmartFTP (permissions=666). The changes do not appear. When I use the web interface to view my template files, the index.php file shows up without the changes I’ve made (although if I view the file through SmartFTP, it shows changes). In addition, it says I cannot save changes because the permissions are not at 666. Is there a hidden index.php file it’s using that I can’t find? Anyone know what’s going on? https://www.teebubble.com if that helps. Thanks!

  • What do you see ?
Try pressing CTRL-F5 to force a hard refresh.
It sounds though like what you think is index.php is not what wordpress thinks is index.php
Where are all your wp files on the server ?

    Thanks podz,
It is definitely an issue of wordpress looking somewhere else for an index.php file — I removed mine completely last night, did CTRL-F5, and it works perfectly. My wp files are in x.teebubble.com/wordpress.
If there’s anything else you need to see that I can send, please email me at toni066 at yahoo dot com.
