Problems upgrading to WordPress 2.0.2

  • I’ve ran into problems upgrading to WP 2.0.2. When I run /wp/wp-admin/upgrade.php

    I get this message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: make_db_current_silent() in /home/content/p/u/r/mydomain/html/wp/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 76

    I cannot access my admin page and get this message when I try:
    “It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.”

    When I try install.php I get…

    “Already Installed. You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”

    I’m getting frustrated and don’t know where to go from here. If anyone can shed light on it or refer me to the place in support forum I can find the answer, I’d appreciate it. I have backed-up all files before the upgrade attemp. I just don’t know where I’ve gone wrong.

  • Did you overwrite files when you upgraded?

    First I would delete all the files in /wp-admin – just that directory. Reupload new ones then see what happens?

    Thanks for the suggestion.
    I reloaded the files in the /wp-admin directory. I can now access my admin page. Now when I go to my domain I get these error messages:

    Warning: main(./wp-blog-header.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/p/u/r/mydomain/html/index.php on line 4

    Warning: main(./wp-blog-header.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/p/u/r/mydomain/html/index.php on line 4

    Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘./wp-blog-header.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/content/p/u/r/mydomain/html/index.php on line 4
