Problems w/ CTA & WP 3.7

  • This looks like it could be an interesting plugin, but it doesn’t play well in my environment. I’ve loaded CTA along with the companion Landing Pages and Leads plugins. I also have Form Generator for WordPress (for integrating Jotforms) which simply don’t work together. By disabling Form Generator I can get CTA et al to load up.

    Going into CTA first, I tried CTA -> Settings. All that showed there was a “Save Settings” button (and some ads). Pressing the button yields the error message “Cannot load wp_cta_global_settings.”

    I also tried the CTA editor with the example call. None of the template previews work and the visual editor still needs work (too many things get in the way of what you’re doing & the “View Call To Action List” button comes back “Page Not Found”.)

    Bottom line is this is a plugin that has promise, but doesn’t seem to work in WP 3.7.

    Sorry you are having troubles.

    So the plugin worked when you disabled your form plugin?

    It sounds like you are running some plugins that are conflicting with our tools.

    To test for a theme conflict:

    1. Activate default Twenty Ten, Eleven, Twelve, or Thirteen theme
    2. Check to see if the issue still occurs
    3. If the issue does not occur after having activated the default “Twenty” theme, your theme is causing a conflict with landing pages.

    To test for a plugin conflict:

    1. Deactivate ALL plugins
    2. Activate Landing Pages
    3. Check to see if the issue occurs

    If the issue does not occur, one (or more) of your plugins is causing a conflict with Landing Pages.

    To determine which plugin(s) is causing the conflict, follow these steps:

    1. Activate each plugin one by one
    2. Check to see if the issue occurs after each plugin is activated

    We pushed a large number of updates to the plugin. Could you try to install again?

    Hi, I have an issue with the plugin. I installed it with landing pages and leads, my theme is Customizr.

    When I click on “add new” call to action, the page goes blank. For some reason, since I have installed these plugins, my hosting company keeps blocking my ip.

    Please help.

    We have heard reports like this about the customizr theme.

    Sounds like a theme conflict.

    To test for a theme conflict:

    The iframe system has been replaced with an inline system. Works much better.

    Will you consider a re-test and re-review?
