problems with admin page displaying

I had wordpress 2.0.5 and i just recently upgraded to 2.3.3 and i didnt have any problems with the installation, it seemed to go smoothly, i went to view my site and everything looked flawless and i was thrilled(upgrades never seem to run smoothly so i was happy when i thought it did).

I then went to login to make some changes and i typed in my username and password and it loaded the admin page, but only for a like a milisecond……. in firefox in the bottom where it shows what is loading it says,

for some reason right when it finished loading the admin page it sorta redirects there and never ends up loading.

any help to sort this out would be really appreciated.
